Durward Ensemble will kick off our 21-22 season with a week of rehearsals and recording sessions. This event will provide everyone a sneak peak of the recordings for our new album, “Prophetic Revolutions.” We will perform works premiered at two of our Coe College Concerts in spring of 2019 and a world premiere of a new piece by Martha Horst, “A Rough Ride on an Orange Machine.”

We will be bringing back guest vocalists from those concerts; Megan Ihnen performing Matthew Evan Taylor’s piece “Make A Joyful Noise,” and Loralee Songer to perform “Helen of Troy” by Jodi Goble. Jerry Owen has a cool take on a “Tango and Serenade for Trombone Solo and 13 Instruments.” Works by Brooke Joyce, Jeremy Beck, and Tray Guess will also be featured.
